Veit M. Madaus, MBA

Managing Partner

He is and has been a shareholder in numerous medium-sized companies in Germany and abroad. He supports the companies in an advisory capacity or as a member of the advisory board or supervisory board. After completing his MBA in the USA, he began his career at a US investment bank before founding and successfully selling his first internet start-up in the financial services sector in the USA in the mid-1990s.

Together with his partner Peter Klose, with whom he founded MADAUS Capital Partners GmbH in 2003, Veit Madaus has been contributing his entrepreneurial experience, his network and his knowledge from numerous advisory and supervisory board mandates and as an investment fund manager to the company ever since. This makes him a valued partner for clients and families, who is committed to their long-term, independent and sustainable interests.

Peter G. Klose

Managing Partner

Since the company was founded in 2003, he and his partner Veit Madaus have managed the strategy of the company and the investment portfolios, while also looking after their own family assets, which grew out of a traditional company in the agricultural machinery supplier and agricultural technology sector. Peter Klose advises entrepreneurial families and entrepreneurs on strategic and tactical asset allocation as well as on the structuring and consolidation of their assets.

He is an active investor and has been involved in entrepreneurial club deals and co-investments for many years, which he supports through advisory and supervisory board mandates. Direct entrepreneurial investments as well as their legal structuring and support as an active shareholder have always played an important role. Before founding MADAUS Capital Partners GmbH, Peter Klose worked in the corporate legal department of the asset management holding company of a listed international finance and insurance group. He completed his law studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich with distinction and passed his first and second state law examinations.

Jonathan Baron von Pfetten-Arnbach

Associated Partner

Jonathan Freiherr von Pfetten-Arnbach became involved in business at an early age and, even while studying in Vienna, developed a keen interest in capital markets and long-term wealth accumulation. He subsequently spent several years at a Munich-based private bank, where he advised high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurial families on investment strategies and the strategic structuring of their assets. Later, together with a renowned Munich-based real estate developer, he took over the management of a project development company and was responsible for the planning and execution of sophisticated real estate projects before establishing himself as an independent asset manager.

His focus is on providing long-term support to entrepreneurs, families, and high-net-worth individuals, as well as developing customized, value-oriented investment strategies. At MADAUS Capital Partners, he draws on his experience in asset management, entrepreneurship, and capital allocation to serve discerning clients.

Mark Baldassarre

Managing Director Australia

Mark brings over 25 years of private equity and international banking experience to MADAUS Capital Partners Australia. Mark has extensive experience in the acquisition, integration and expansion of businesses as well as providing strategic direction to company boards and management teams. Based in Sydney, Australia, Mark has successfully invested in numerous businesses and industries including defense, healthcare, engineering services, consumer goods, logistics, warehousing, waste management, tourism, telecommunications and media.

Mark was a Managing Director at international private equity firm The Silverfern Group and previously a partner at ABN AMRO Capital, a private equity fund active in the Australian and New Zealand markets. He was also a Director at ABN AMRO Capital in Amsterdam, where he was involved in private equity, private debt and venture capital transactions in Europe, the United States and South Africa. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Monash University in Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sixt-Georg von Kapff

The economist has a very broad knowledge of the financial sector. After many years as a manager for an international industrial and reinsurance company, he now focuses on private asset management with a specialization in structured financial products. He is responsible for asset management, risk management and investment controlling for a single family office.

Dr. Christopher Benkert

Associated Partner

The lawyer and specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law has acquired extensive knowledge of corporate finance and M&A issues through various professional positions at law firms, an internationally listed financial and insurance group and a private bank. He specializes in corporate and capital markets law. As managing partner of a trust company and an asset management company, he was instrumental in setting up one of the first group trusts (CTA) for the outsourcing of pension provisions. Within Asset Management, he was responsible for product development in the area of asset-based company pension schemes as well as legal support for foundations and family offices. He graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law at the University of Würzburg, where he obtained his doctorate in law after his second state examination.

Dr. Axel Patterson

Dr. Axel Patterson has been a board member, managing director and member of the management of various banking organizations and asset management companies. He has many years of management and consulting experience, particularly in the areas of private banking, wealth management, real estate and corporate finance for private and institutional clients. His focus is on advising and supporting primarily medium-sized companies and expanding our cooperation with other financial institutions. After training as a banker, he completed his studies in business administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and obtained his doctorate with a thesis on asset structure consulting.

Christa Anger

Through many years of professional experience in private banking and private wealth management at various banks, Christa Anger has acquired comprehensive expertise and experience in the support and long-term assistance of affluent individuals and families. Her focus remains on advising and supporting upscale clients.

Nicolas Hübner

Advisor

Nicolas Hübner was a portfolio manager at a private equity company (small to mid-cap) in Munich, where he was responsible for managing and advising external mandates for various companies. After studying business administration, Nicolas Hübner worked in investment and corporate banking at an international commercial and investment bank before becoming an advisor to his family. The family's roots lie in a company in the electronic consumer goods sector, which was successfully sold many years ago. Since 2016, he has been building up the appropriate structures and expanding his family's assets. Through his work at MADAUS Capital Partners, Nicolas Hübner can also make his experience available to third parties.
